The Importance of Being Ryan Part 2

As many of you know, a few months ago we paid tribute to Ryan Adams as part of our ongoing residency at Bistro de Paris. Its a monthly night, where the Hurricane and I can get together with some of our favorite local songwriters to pay tribute to the music we love. Photos and Video from Colin Hay Show!

Had a blast last night opening for Colin Hay. He was truly the gentleman and engaging performer that I expected, and he gave a great performance. It was a great privilege to play for such an attentive audience, and even though the room was packed you could hear a pin drop during my set. This show has truly lit a fire under me, and Im exited for the rest of the shows I have booked this summer. Can't wait!

Opening for Colin Hay next Tuesday at Petit Campus!

Im greatly honored to have the opportunity to be opening for a great songwriter and wonderful human being Mr. Colin Hay. An architect of the 80s pop sound that so many of us grew up on, Colin has built a reputation as a thoroughly entertaining and engaging solo performer, and I cant wait for the show.

In honor of this event, I have been posting the 1987 Jeep Cherokee Laredo mix over at Twitter. Everyday on the way home from school my Mum used to entertain us with pop radio in the jeep: gems from Hall and Oates, Men at Work, the Police, Phil Collins, and the Human League inspired me to dress up and dance in front of the mirror, and eventually take up pop music. I will be posting tunes from those formative years over on twitter leading up to the show! Come follow me!
