The So Uncool Society

The following includes excerpts form an early draft of the So Uncool Society’s Manifesto.

Genre

We don’t believe in genre, there’s only good music and bad music. We just believe in songs.

Cool

“if there’s something you’d like to try, if there’s something you’d like to try
ask me I wont say no how could I”

We don’t believe in cool. Cool is the death of creativity. Once you start worrying about being cool you start to limit yourself out of fear: the fear of not being cool.

What’s the difference Between Cool Music and Good Music?

Everybody Knows What’s Good.

Cool, on the other hand, is a construct created to commercialize music and market it to specific demographics.

We sing for the whole family

Music can be a power. Music can be an inspiration, and it can be a therapy. Music should not some exclusive club with a mean spirited bouncer at the door.

Tony Bennett

Tony Bennett is the unofficial figure head and thought leader of the uncool society. If you don’t know very much about the man or his philosophies on life and music you should check him out.

More content will be posted as it is finalized.

For the Love of Music,
Andrew
